Provided in the present application are a communication method and a communication apparatus. Compared with an implementation mode in which a first device performs positioning on the basis of measurement results corresponding to reference signals, which are transmitted on a plurality of paths, due to a first measurement result sent to the first device being a measurement result corresponding to a first reference signal, which is transmitted on a single path, during the process of performing positioning on the basis of the first measurement result, the first device can avoid multi-path transmission interference, thereby improving the positioning accuracy. The method comprises: a communication apparatus receiving first request information from a first device, wherein the first request information is used for requesting the reporting of a measurement result of a first reference signal; the communication apparatus measuring the first reference signal, which is transmitted on a first path, so as to obtain a first measurement result; and the communication apparatus sending the first measurement result to the first device.
