Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and discloses a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device sends first indication information to a network device, the first indication information indicating at least one switching time delay, and the at least one switching time delay corresponding to at least one switching type that a radio frequency link of the terminal device is switched between a plurality of frequency bands; and the terminal device communicates with the network device on the basis of the at least one switching time delay. By using the method, the terminal device can report at least one switching time delay to the network device, so that the terminal device and the network device can communicate on the basis of the at least one switching time delay; furthermore, the terminal device can report switching time delays corresponding to different switching types to the network device according to the switching types, so that signaling overhead can be effectively saved while the reporting of the switching time delays is achieved.
