Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a communication method and a communication apparatus, the method comprising: a terminal device determining a first parameter value of a first parameter on the basis of a measurement result of a first downlink reference signal and first precoding, the first parameter being used for reflecting the downlink channel quality; and obtaining a parameter value of a second parameter according to a first compensation amount and the first parameter value of the first parameter, and reporting the parameter value of the second parameter, the first compensation amount being used for indicating the difference between the downlink channel quality when a network device uses the first precoding and the downlink channel quality when the network device uses second precoding. The solution in the embodiments of the present application allows parameter values reported by a terminal device to accurately reflect the actual downlink channel quality.
