The present invention relates to a communication method between an automated teller machine host and devices, and more specifically to a communication method between an automated teller machine host and devices, in which, in configuring a communication scheme between a host comprising a main CPU of an automated teller machine, and a plurality of devices operating according to control commands of the host, a process of repeatedly transmitting/receiving the same signal between the host and the devices is simplified by means of an interrupt communication scheme, the process of repeatedly transmitting/receiving the same signal between the host and the devices occurring as a result of sensor polling which is periodically carried out in order for the host to check the statuses of the devices, and the interrupt communication scheme being for, when a change in sensor value occurs in the devices, transmitting, to the host from the devices, an interrupt signal for notifying that the change in sensor value has occurred, and thus USB traffic occurring in the communication process between the automated teller machine host and devices is effectively reduced.
