Abstract:
A communication method and an electronic device, wherein same relate to the technical field of communications. The method is applied to CPE, with the CPE working in a bridge pattern. The method comprises: CPE sending a first dialing request to a mobile communication network; after receiving a first dialing response, the CPE accessing the mobile communication network; the CPE bridging an IP address of a first public network in the first dialing response to a router connected to the CPE; after accessing the mobile communication network, the CPE sending a second dialing request to the mobile communication network; the CPE receiving a second dialing response; and acquiring, from the second dialing response, an IP address of a second public network, and building a logic link between the CPE and the mobile communication network. By means of the technical solution, the CPE can communicate with a mobile communication network without depending on a router connected to the CPE, thereby realizing decoupling of the CPE and the router.
