Abstract:
A communication method and a related device, the method comprising: a terminal device determines that same is interested in receiving a first multicast service or is currently receiving a first multicast service, and indicates the receiving status by means of sending first indication information to a first network device, the first indication information comprising identification information of the first multicast service; the first network device correspondingly determines the receiving status of the terminal device according to the first indication information from the terminal device. By employing the embodiments of the present application, the number of terminal devices that are interested in receiving a multicast service or are currently receiving a multicast service can be counted in real time and the transmission of the multicast service is maintained.
