Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications, and provides a communication method and system, a user plane function (UPF) network element, and a user equipment. The method comprises: a UPF network element receives reflective quality of service (QOS) indication (ROI) information, the ROI information comprising an identifier of a service data flow (SDF); and the UPF network element merely sets, according to the ROI information, ROI fields in some of downlink data packets corresponding to the SDF, some of the downlink data packets being discontinuous.
