Abstract:
The present invention provides a communication system that suppresses a fixedly-installed wireless LAN terminal from being roamed. A communication system (1) comprises: a wireless LAN terminal (10) for transmitting first information that indicates whether or not the local device is a fixedly-installed fixed station; and an access point (20) which, when the first information indicates being a fixed station, selects a communication rate including a highest and a lowest communication rate among a plurality of communication rates that can be set in communication with the wireless LAN terminal (10), as well as transmitting second information pertaining to the selected communication rate to the wireless LAN terminal (10). The wireless LAN terminal (10) attempts to communicate on the basis of the communication rate included in the second information.
