Abstract:
The purpose is to make it possible to establish the topology of an intended network even in the case of a network structure that is a mixture of link layer discovery protocol (LLDP) packets of different networks. This communication system includes: a control device for identifying the LLDP packets of a first network and the LLDP packets of a second network different from the first network for the switch being controlled, and setting control information that allows a predetermined process to be performed for each; a switch group for transmitting the LLDP packets of the first network to a predetermined topology management device according to the control information set by the control device; and a topology management device for managing the network topology comprising the switch group on the basis of information contained in the LLPD packets of the first network received from the switch.
