Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a communication system with which it is possible to reduce network bandwidth usage. A communication system according to the present disclosure comprises: a server (102); and a communication device (101) which performs Representational State Transfer (REST) communication that employs a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) session established with the server (102). After REST communication initiated on the basis of a call signal received from a client device (105) is terminated, the communication device (101) transmits a keep-alive signal to the server (102), and transmits a response signal relating to the call signal to the client device (105), in a state in which the HTTP session is maintained.
