Abstract:
There is disclosed a technique for allowing a mobile terminal to quickly perform a packet transmission to the exterior immediately after a handover of the mobile terminal between subnets. According to the technique, an MN (mobile terminal) (10) having executed a handover requests an external transmission address related to a subnet to which the MN connects after the handover (i.e., a link local address of an access router or default router belonging to the subnet after the handover) when transmitting an FNA message to an NAR (31) to which the MN connects immediately after the handover. The NAR acquires, in response to the request, the external transmission address and sends an RA message to the MN, thereby transmitting the external transmission address to the MN. The MN sets the external transmission address as acquired before the handover to the packet to be transmitted after the handover.
