Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication system equipped with a monitoring unit (201) which monitors the electricity consumption of a communication message-forwarding switch unit (20); an electricity consumption data transmission unit (202) which transmits data showing electricity consumption monitored by the monitoring unit (201); a control signal reception unit (203) which receives control signals; a control unit (204) which controls the data transfer rate based on control information contained in the control signals received by the control signal reception unit; an electricity consumption data reception unit (301) which receives the data showing electricity consumption sent by the electricity consumption data transmission unit (202); a control determination unit (302) which determines the content and object of controls for electricity consumption based on the electricity consumption data received by the electricity consumption data reception unit (301); and a control signal transmission unit (303) which transmits control signals including the content and object of controls as determined by the control determination unit (302).
