Abstract:
The present invention provides a communication system with which it is easy to practically apply a robot, and the robot. This communication system 100 comprises robots 20, 21, 22 that are not fixed in place, and a plurality of computers 10, 11 capable of communicating with the robots. The robots have a camera, and a mode switching unit for switching between a first mode for operating on the basis of a command of an unspecified computer among the plurality of computers and a second mode for operating on the basis of a command of a user-authenticated specific computer among the plurality of computers. The computers have an input unit for inputting a command to a robot, and a display unit for displaying an image photographed by the camera.
