Abstract:
The present invention provides a communication terminal and a communication system that can reduce power consumption. The communication system is a position management system, and comprises: the communication terminal, which has a positioning unit that performs GNSS positioning and generates GNSS position information; and a server that communicates with the communication terminal and performs position management of the communication terminal. The server has an arrival time estimation unit that calculates a first predicted time period, which is a predicted time period until the communication terminal arrives at a position a first distance away from the current position thereof. The server notifies the communication terminal of the first predicted time period, and the communication terminal begins GNSS position information generation via the positioning unit during the notified first predicted time period.
