Abstract:
A compact vehicle in which: a seat-section-protecting structure (22) provided with a seat (3) in the center thereof is supported by a vehicle frame (1) so as to be capable of rotating in the horizontal direction; while traveling, the seat-section-protecting structure (22) surrounds the sides of the seat (3) and protects a passenger from the risk of impact from the sides of the vehicle and from falling off the seat; and the rotation of the seat-section-protecting structure (22) when the passenger is getting out positions an opening on the side of the vehicle through which the passenger can get out. The vehicle has the seat and battery positioned optimally in order to increase safety and spatial efficiency in a space of limited volume. A steering wheel is provided which takes into account the action of the passenger getting out, and an airbag unique to this vehicle is also provided in order to increase safety.
