Abstract:
Provided are a comparator and an analog-to-digital converter. The comparator comprises an input unit, a load unit, a control switch, and an adjustment unit. An input end of the input unit is connected to a first input signal and a second input signal; the load unit is connected to the input unit, and the gain of the comparator is adjusted by adjusting the grid voltage of a gain adjustment pair transistor of the load unit; the adjustment unit is connected to the input unit; and the grid voltage of the gain adjustment pair transistor is adjusted according to the enabled state of the control switch. Further provided is an analog-to-digital converter. When the comparator is in an offset cancellation state, the gain is small so that the amplification factor of the offset voltage of the comparator is small. In a signal amplification state, the gain is large so that the amplification factor of input differential mode signals of the comparator is large, thereby eliminating the influence of the offset voltage of the comparator on the comparison result of the comparator, improving the speed of the comparator, reducing the layout area, and significantly eliminating the offset voltage of the comparator.
