Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a component authentication method and apparatus. In the method, after a computer is powered on, a BMC in the computer sends an authentication request to one of the components in the computer, so as to initiate access authentication for the component; the component sends an access request to the BMC, the access request carrying an access authentication certificate of the component; and after the access authentication certificate of the component has been authenticated, the BMC sends an access response to the component. In the present application, before the component is started, the BMC verifies the access authentication certificate of the component, and if the verification is passed, the component is allowed to be started. In this way, security risks caused by counterfeit tampering with the component are effectively reduced, thereby effectively guaranteeing the access security of the component.
