Title:
COMPONENT STEEL FOR MECHANICAL AND STRUCTURAL PARTS HAVING ULTRAFINE GRAINS AFTER HIGH-FREQUENCY HEAT TREATMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/125760
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to component steel for mechanical and structural parts having ultrafine grains after high-frequency heat treatment and to a method for manufacturing the same. The component steel comprises, by weight %, 0.50 to 0.55 % by weight of C, 0.30 to 0.50 % by weight of Si, 0.35 to 0.55 % by weight of Mn, 0.10 to 0.30 % by weight of Cr, 0.20 to 0.50 % by weight of Mo, 0.015 to 0.035 % by weight of V, 0.025 to 0.045 % by weight of Al, 0.0010 to 0.0050 % by weight of B, 0.010 % by weight to 0.050 % by weight of Ti, the remainder being Fe and inevitable impurities. The component steel of the present invention has increased C content as compared with conventional steels and increased surface hardness through high-frequency heat treatment. The component steel of the present invention is configured such that Mo, V and Ti are added to precipitate carbide and prevent grain coarsening caused by high-frequency heating. Thus, the component steel of the present invention has austenite grain size of 5µm or lower after the high-frequency heat treatment, and has a bainitic structure, enabling the component steel to exhibit high-frequency characteristics after high-frequency heating.
