Abstract:
Provided is a composite absorber which can prevent the leakage of a body fluid while keeping the thickness thereof at a small thickness and can exhibit high absorbability. The composite absorber (4) is used for a sanitary product for absorbing a body fluid. The composite absorber comprises pulp fibers, a polymeric absorbing agent having a hydrophilic continuous backbone and continuous vacancies, and a highly water-absorbing polymer. The initial absorption rates are as follows: (the initial absorption rate of the pulp fibers) > (the initial absorption rate of the polymeric absorbing agent) > (the initial absorption rate of the highly water-absorbing polymer).
