Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a composite cable comprising a core and a sheath (4) surrounding an outer surface of the core, the core including at least: a plurality of large-diameter electric wires (2) each having a conductor (21) and a resin layer (22) on an outer periphery of the conductor (21); and a plurality of small-diameter electric wires (3) each having a conductor (31) and a resin layer (32) on an outer periphery of the conductor (31). The method for producing a composite cable comprises: a step for forming, on the outer surface of a core, a silane cross-linkable resin composition containing a base resin, a silane coupling agent grafted to the base resin, and a silanol condensation catalyst (steps (1) and (2)); and a step for bringing the formed silane cross-linkable resin composition into contact with water (step (3)). Also provided is a composite cable (1) comprising the core and a sheath provided on the outer surface of the core, the sheath including a silanol condensation cured product of the silane cross-linkable resin composition.
