Abstract:
Disclosed are a composite catalyst and method for treating nitrogen-containing volatile organic composite pollutants, being related to the environmental protection technical field of catalytic combustion. The Cu-Ag system catalyst in the composite catalyst of the present invention prioritizes the selection of a nitrogen-containing component in a composite pollutant and the oxidation of same into a chemically stable nitrogen gas, and then completely mineralizes the remaining organic components by means of a Pt-Pd precious metal system catalyst. The composite catalyst and method of the present invention are lightly limited by the type, concentration, and gas space velocity of the pollutants, and is generally suitable for the catalytic combustion treatment of nitrogen-containing volatile organic composite pollutants. The present invention is significant to the organic waste gas purification for typical industries characterized in nitrogen-containing composite pollution emission, such as petrochemistry, coating, and synthetic leather. The nitrogen-containing volatile organic composite pollutants in waste gas can be converted into carbon dioxide, water, and nitrogen gas stably and for a long time. Almost no nitrogen oxide is generated, and the catalyst has good stability.
