Abstract:

Provided is a composite fiber that makes it possible to form a fabric that feels comfortable when worn on the body. The composite fiber is constituted of a polyurethane elastomer having a glass transition temperature in the range of 15-50°C (an A component) and a readily soluble thermoplastic polymer (a B component); in a fiber cross-section, the A component acts as a core and the B component covers at least 70% of the entire perimeter of the A component. The B component may be a readily soluble polyester, thermoplastic polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer, or the like. The composite ratio (mass ratio) of the A component and B component may be A:B = 90:10 to 40:60.
