Abstract:
Provided is an island-in-sea type composite fiber, which comprises island components and a sea component that is positioned so as to surround said island components in a fiber section taken perpendicular to the fiber axis, said composite fiber having excellent properties such as extremely high homogeneity of the composite section, good post-treated passage, and so on.
The island-in-sea type composite fiber is characterized in that the diameter of the island components is within the range of 10-1000 nm, the dispersion in the island component diameter is within the range of 1.0-20.0%, the degree of irregularity thereof is within the range of 1.00-1.10, and the dispersion in the degree of irregularity is within the range of 1.0-10.0%.
