Abstract:
A composite material for core that has satisfactory strength and can be produced
at low cost; a process for producing the same; a plywood; and a process for producing
the same. The composite material for core comprises a core base sheet of dry palm
or rubber lumber and, integrally bonded to at least one major surface thereof,
a surface material, wherein the surface material consists of bamboo material
fragments. Further, there is provided a plywood obtained by piling multiple
thin sheets of dry palm or rubber lumber one upon another, orienting the same so
that the fiber directions of neighboring individual sheets cross each other
at right angles, and bonding them.
