Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: composite oxide particles capable of achieving a curable composition (structural color CR) which enables restoration with high color compatibility with natural teeth even after long-term storage and shows suppressed lowering in curability even after long-term storage; a method for producing the composite oxide particles; and a curable composition containing the composite oxide particles. The present invention relates to: composite oxide particles consisting of a group of spherical particles having a predetermined average primary particle diameter within the range of 230-350 nm, wherein 90% or more of the total number of particles in the group of spherical particles have primary particle diameters within the range of ±5% of the predetermined average primary particle diameter, the individual particles constituting the spherical particle group are core-shell type particles in which the surface of silica-based composite oxide particles is coated with a silica layer, and the average thickness of the silica layer is 3-15 nm; a method for producing the composite oxide particles; and a curable composition containing the composite oxide particles.
