Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a composition for cartilage regeneration promotion and a cartilage regeneration promotion method that promote cartilage regeneration. The present invention pertains to a composition or the like that is for cartilage regeneration promotion and that contains a flavonoid represented by general formula (1) as an active ingredient. (In the formula, R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a hydroxy group. R6 represents a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms. One of R7 and R8 represents a hydrogen atom, and the other represents a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms. A dashed line represents an optional bond.)
