Abstract:
A composition comprising AAV2-ANKS1A recombinant virus for treating Alzheimer's disease is provided. Specifically, it is identified that ANKS1A (ankyrin repeat and sterile alpha motif domain containing 1A) protein binds to an LRP1 receptor, which is formed in the endoplasmic reticulum, so as to promote cell membrane transport of the LRP1 receptor, and thus promotes amyloid beta protein clearance from brain tissue, and provided is a virus recombined with an adeno-associated virus (AAV) specifically infecting only cerebral blood vessels, so as to be used for preventing and treating neurodegenerative diseases.
