Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition comprising O-cyclic phytosphingosine-1-phosphate for preventing or treating Parkinson's disease. The composition according to the present invention can prevent the death of dopaminergic SH-SY5Y neurons and increase the expression of tyrosine hydroxylase, which is an enzyme necessary for dopamine formation, thereby finding advantageous applications in preventing or treating Parkinson's disease.
