Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are: a composition containing a green tea extract comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of 7 wt% or more of polysaccharides, less than 20 wt% of catechins, and 10 wt% or more of dietary fibers, relative to a total weight of the green tea extract, the composition having a use for blood glucose control; and a method for preparing the composition. The composition has not only effects of inhibiting activity of glucosidase and amylase but also effects of lowering blood glucose by inhibiting the glucose uptake in small intestinal cells.
