Abstract:
This composition for forming a polarization film comprises: a polymerizable liquid crystal compound exhibiting smectic liquid crystallinity; a dichroic dye; and at least two kinds of organic solvents. The organic solvents include: an organic solvent A having a boiling point that is -20˚C to 50˚C higher than the isotropic phase transition temperature of the polymerizable liquid crystal compound; and an organic solvent B having a boiling point that is more than 50˚C higher than the isotropic phase transition temperature of the polymerizable liquid crystal compound.
