Abstract:
This composition for function layers of nonaqueous secondary batteries contains organic particles that have a specific composition and a specific property, and a binder material. The organic particles contained in this composition for function layers are characterized by containing an aromatic monovinyl monomer unit at a ratio of from 20% by mass to 70% by mass (inclusive), while containing a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester monomer unit at a ratio of from 30% by mass to 70% by mass (inclusive), and are also characterized by having a degree of swelling in an electrolyte solution of more than 1.0 times to 4.0 times or less, a volume average particle diameter of from 0.4 μm to 1.0 μm (inclusive) and a tetrahydrofuran-insoluble fraction of from 20% by mass to 70% by mass (inclusive).
