Abstract:
A composition for gene introduction into a cell which contains a quaternary ammonium salt represented by general formula (1): [wherein A represents (a) and (b),(wherein R?1�, R?2�, R?3�, R?4�, and R?5� are the same or different and each represents a C�9-17? aliphatic group); X?1� represents halogeno; and n is an integer of 1 to 10]; and a method for gene introduction into a cell by using the composition. Since this composition can efficiently introduce a gene into a cell and cause gene expression, it is useful as a reagent for gene introduction or a drug.
