Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition which has strong antiviral activity against COVID-19 and can be used in drugs, food products, and hygiene products. The present invention provides a composition having antiviral activity, and contains, as an active ingredient, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the compounds represented in formula (I) below, or a derivative thereof. (In the formula, R16 is either crosslinked with R13, forming an ether bond or a thioether bond, or is hydrogen, halogen, a hydroxy group, a thiol group, or a substituted or unsubstituted acyloxy group having a carbon number of 1 to 3, or a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 1 to 4, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1 to 4; R1 to R7, R15, and R17 to R20 are each hydrogen, halogen, a hydroxy group, a thiol group, or a substituted or unsubstituted acyloxy group having a carbon number of 1 to 3, or a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having a carbon number of 1 to 4, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having a carbon number of 1 to 4; R14 is either crosslinked with R8, forming a disulfide bond, or is hydrogen; R13 is either crosslinked with R16, forming an ether bond or a thioether bond, or is crosslinked with R8, forming a disulfide bond; R9 and R12 are each either hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy groups having a carbon number of 1 to 3; R10 and R11 are each either oxygen or sulfur; and R8 is crosslinked with R13 or R14, forming a disulfide bond.)
