Abstract:
A method to treat milk fever comprising transdermally administering Calcium, or Vitamin D, or a combination of Calcium and Vitamin D. A method to increase Calcium level in muscle tissue of animals by transdermally administering pre mortem Calcium, or Vitamin D, or a combination of Calcium and Vitamin D. A method to enhance the terderness of beef by transdermally administering pre mortem to cattle from which said beef is obtained Clacium, or Vitamin D, or combination of Calcium and Vitamin D.A method to adjust the rate of system delivery of transdermally administered Calcium, or Vitamin D, or a combination of Calcium and Vitamin D, by including one or more surfactants in the transdermal formulation.
