Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating cachexia, comprising a complex extract of Cyperi rhizoma and Zanthoxyli pericarpium. The complex extract of the present invention exhibits the effects of suppressing weight loss and fat loss caused by cancer and inducing cancer cell death, and thus can be useful as a composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating cancer cachexia, the composition enabling anticancer treatment without cachexia side effects and cachexia amelioration simultaneously.
