Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a composition for preventing or treating Moyamoya disease, comprising, as an active ingredient, miRNAs or extracellular vesicles comprising same; and a composition for preventing or treating Moyamoya disease, comprising extracellular vesicles derived from a three-dimensional spheroid-type cell aggregate prepared by means of a novel preparation method. If miRNAs or extracellular vesicles comprising same, of the present invention, are used, the expression of miRNAs, which are downregulated in patients with Moyamoya disease or Moyamoya syndrome, is increased such that vascular anastomoses, an increase in cerebral blood vessel diameter, and an increase in cerebral blood flow can be induced. Therefore, miRNAs or extracellular vesicles comprising same, of the present invention, can be used as a novel therapeutic agent for treating Moyamoya disease or Moyamoya syndrome.
