Title:
COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING NEUROPSYCHOLOGIC DISEASE, COMPRISING MANF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/071752
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating a neuropsychologic disease, the composition comprising a mesencephalic growth factor (mesencephalic, astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor; MANF), a peptide derived therefrom, or a fragment of the peptide. Administering the MANF according to the present invention promotes the differentiation of cholinergic and/or γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA)ergic neurons in models of memory impairment and autism, thereby inducing nerve regeneration, has the effects of improving memory and ameliorating emotional insecurity, and improves deficiencies in social awareness, sociability, and social and sexual preference. Therefore, the composition can be provided as a composition for preventing or treating neuropsychologic diseases such as autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, and developmental disability.
