Abstract:
An apparatus (A) for producing a compost which comprises a feces and urine supplying device (6), a wallastonite supplying device (7), a conc. sulfuric acid supplying device (8), a feces and urine agitating device (1, 1a), a feces and urine reactor (2) for mixing a mixture from the feces and urine agitating device (1, 1a) with sulfuric acid supplied from a tank, a fowl droppings reactor (3) for mixing and agitating fowl droppings and a wallastonite supplied from a tank and further mixing and agitating the resultant mixture with sulfuric acid, to react them, and a fermentation device for adding an effective microbe to respective mixtures formed by the mixing and agitation in the feces and urine reactor (2) and the fowl droppings reactor (3). The apparatus can be used for reacting feces and urine of a pig or a human being or the like with wallastonite and conc. sulfuric acid, to convert them to a solid or a particulate material and reduce a bad odor, and further for achieving with sure their fermentation by a microbe, i.e. their conversion to a compost also in a practical and large scale case.
