Abstract:
The present invention provides: a compound which enables the formation of a film having a high refractive index and also having excellent surface flatness; a composition; a film; and an optical device. The composition according to the present invention contains a compound represented by general formula (1).
In general formula (1), A represents a linking group having a valency of (m + n); L1 and L2 independently represent a single bond or a bivalent linking group; X represents a residue produced by removing one hydrogen atom from a compound represented by general formula (2); Y represents a monovalent organic group; m represents an integer of 2 or greater; and n represents an integer of 0 or greater.
