Abstract:
This compressed air energy storage device comprises: a compressor that is driven by an electric motor and compresses air; a first heat exchanger that heats a heat storage medium through heat exchange with compressed air compressed by the compressor; a pressure accumulating tank that stores compressed air that has been heat-exchanged by the first heat exchanger; an expander that is driven by the compressed air stored in the pressure accumulating tank; a power generator driven by the expander; a second heat exchanger that heats compressed air, which flows into the expander, through heat exchange with the heat storage medium that has been heated by the first heat exchanger; and a heat pump device for absorbing heat from the heat storage medium that has been heat-exchanged by the second heat exchanger and dissipating heat to the compressed air that drives the expander.
