Abstract:
The present invention is provided with a compressor 4, a pressure accumulation unit 6, an expander 8, a generator, a first heat exchanger 5, a first heat storage unit 9, a second heat exchanger 7, and second heat storage unit 10. The first heat exchanger 5, the first heat storage unit 9, the second heat exchanger 7, and the second heat storage unit 10 are connected in this order in a heat medium flow path 3, and a main flow path 11 is formed which allows a heat medium to flow so as to be circulated. In the heat medium flow path 3, by providing a shortened flow path 12 which is directed toward the first heat storage unit 9 and branched from the heat medium flow path 3 that extends from the second heat exchanger 7 toward the second heat storage 10, a sub-flow path 13 is formed which allows the heat medium to flow between the first heat storage unit 9 and the second heat exchanger 7 by the circulation of the heat medium. The present invention is also provided with: a first heating means 22 provided in the middle of the shortened flow path 12 and heating the heat medium passing therethrough; and a switching means 20, 21 which can be switched to either of the main flow path 11 or the sub-flow path 13.
