Title:
COMPRESSION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/064816
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a compression device which comprises at least one compression unit, which includes an electrolyte membrane, an anode disposed on one main surface of the electrolyte membrane, a cathode disposed on the other main surface of the electrolyte membrane, an anode separator laminated on the anode, and a cathode separator laminated on the cathode, and a voltage application unit for applying a voltage between the anode and the cathode, and which generates compressed hydrogen by applying the voltage from the voltage application unit to cause protons extracted from an anode fluid supplied to the anode to travel to the cathode via the electrolyte membrane. The compression device comprises an anode end plate disposed on the anode separator positioned on one end in the lamination direction, a cathode end plate disposed on the cathode separator positioned on the other end in the lamination direction, and a first plate and a second plate disposed between the cathode end plate and the cathode separator positioned on the other end, wherein a first space for holding a cathode gas containing the compressed hydrogen is formed in the first plate, and a first manifold through which the cathode gas flows and a first communication path through which the cathode gas flowed in from the first manifold is led into the first space are disposed in the second plate.
