Provided is a compressor in which a compression mechanism for compressing a fluid is fixed to an internal circumferential surface of a sealed container, wherein, in the compression mechanism, a plurality of protrusions extending in the circumferential direction are formed at intervals therebetween in the circumferential direction on an external circumferential surface that comes into contact with the internal circumferential surface of the sealed container. The sealed container has a structure in which a plurality of fitting recesses to which the plurality of protrusions are fitted, and a guiding recess for guiding the protrusions of the compressing mechanism into the fitting recesses during manufacture, are formed on the internal circumferential surface. The guiding recess extends in the axial direction from an opening end of the cylindrical sealed container and communicates in the circumferential direction with respect to the fitting recesses at an extension end part, whereby the compression mechanism is fixed to the internal circumferential surface of the sealed container while the protrusions of the compressing mechanism are fitted to the fitting recesses.
