Abstract:
Provided is a computation processing device that can further reduce power consumption. A computation processing device 10 performs computation processing based on a convolutional neural network. A memory unit 15 includes a first storage circuit 21 and a non-volatile second storage circuit 22. A computation circuit unit 16 receives element data and load data read from the second storage circuit 22 as input and performs convolution computation. When the convolution computation is performed, a power gate control unit 17 blocks power supply to memory cells in the second storage circuit 22 that retain bits outside of an effective data length set in the computation.
