Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a computer device which, without using a battery or other supplementary power supply device, retains a state that is in effect when a power source is cut off. [Solution] Provided is a computer device (100), comprising: a power supply unit (110) which transforms alternating current into direct current and outputs same, said power supply unit (110) further comprising a capacitor which is proof against momentary power cuts; and a main body unit (140), further comprising a processor which executes a program and a primary storage unit which has a nonvolatile storage region. The power supply unit further comprises a power failure detection unit (111) which senses that the supply of the alternating current has been stopped. The main body unit further comprises a logical device (141) which, upon having been notified of the sensing from the power failure detection unit (111), instructs the processor (143), within the retention time of the capacitor which is proof against momentary power cuts, of a transaction process of converting data in a buffer of the processor into reusable data and transferring same to the primary storage unit.
