Abstract:
[Problem]
To provide a computer system and a load dispersion method with which the load on a management server can be dynamically and efficiently dispersed.
[Solution]
A computer system is provided with an aggregation server that receives tasks which should be executed by multiple management servers managing one or more storage devices. The aggregation server divides the received tasks into multiple sub-tasks, sequentially sets the management server having the lowest load as the sub-task insertion destination, and manages, as a resource group, all of the resources utilized by each of multiple sub-tasks that utilize a shared resource. When a sub-task utilizing a resource belonging to any of the resource groups already has been inserted in the management server that has been set as the insertion destination for a sub-task, the aggregation server sets, as a sub-task which should be inserted in that management server, a sub-task which utilizes any of the resources in the resource group to which the resource utilized by the already inserted sub-task belongs.
