Abstract:
The embodiment of the present invention provides a method for accessing an endpoint device in a computer system and a computer system. In the prior art, an operating system is necessary when managing the endpoint device of a computer device, and is therefore inconvenient for maintenance. By using the computer system and the method for accessing an endpoint device in the computer system in the embodiment of the present invention, an endpoint agent device establishes a corresponding relation between a first address of the endpoint device in a computing subsystem and a second address of the endpoint device in a management subsystem. The endpoint agent device generates a second access request carrying the first address of the endpoint device in the computing subsystem according to the corresponding relation upon receiving a first access request of a management controller for the endpoint device, and sends the second access request to the endpoint device. The present invention can send the access request of the management controller for the endpoint device to the endpoint device without relying on the operating system, and hence improves the maintainability of the endpoint device.
