Abstract:
This invention provides a concentration detection apparatus which determines whether or not a liquid reducing agent is in a stable state in a tank and accurately detects the concentration of the liquid reducing agent with a thermal concentration sensor. The concentration detection apparatus detects the concentration of a liquid reducing agent stored in a tank loaded on a vehicle. The concentration detection apparatus comprises a concentration sensor for detecting the concentration of the liquid reducing agent based on the thermal properties thereof and a control unit for controlling this concentration sensor. The control unit detects boarding of a driver under an engine stopped state and allows the concentration to be actually detected by the concentration sensor when the boarding of the driver was detected.
