Abstract:
A conductive endless belt having both desired belt characteristics and surface characteristics which can be produced without causing problems of prior art in the aspects of cost and quality, its production method and an image forming apparatus employing it. A conductive endless belt (100) for transfer and carriage in a tandem system is driven to circulate by a drive member and carries a recording medium which is held by electrostatic attraction to four kinds of image forming bodies in order to transfer respective toner images sequentially to the recording medium. A resin layer (102) is provided on a belt substrate (101) and contains a UV-curable resin or electron beam curable resin. Preferably, the resin layer (102) contains a conductive agent, especially, carbon black.
