Abstract:
Embodiments of the preset application provide a configuration method and apparatus. While an radio resource control (RRC) connection release message indicates that a terminal enters from a connected state to an inactive state, a network device can carry, in the RRC connection release message, a configuration parameter allocated to the terminal which is in the inactive state, that is, the terminal receives the RRC connection release message sent by the network device. The RRC connection release message comprises first information for indicating a target configuration parameter, and thus the terminal can enter the inactive state according to the RRC connection release message, and determines context parameters of the inactive state according to the first information, wherein the context parameters of the inactive state comprise the target configuration parameter, or the context parameters of the inactive state comprise parameters other than the target configuration parameter in the context parameters of the terminal, and the target configuration parameter is a configuration parameter suitable for the terminal which is in the inactive state, so as to achieve reasonably allocating the configuration parameter to the terminal which is in the inactive state.
